At Koryphae, we believe that what you wear should nourish—not just your skin, but your soul, the planet, and the people who make it. Every garment carries energy. This is why we hold ourselves—and our partners—to a higher standard of consciousness, care, and integrity.
1. Human Dignity & Ethical Labor
We collaborate with a select group of small-batch producers, women-owned businesses, and nonprofit initiatives in India. These partnerships are built on personal trust, shared values, and deep respect for traditional craftsmanship—especially hand-looming. Our partners uphold labor laws and often exceed local safety standards. Child labor and forced labor have no place in our supply chain. We ensure that artisans are supported with fair pay, dignified conditions, and the opportunity to thrive—not just survive.
2. Safe & Supportive Workspaces
We’ve seen firsthand the care and cleanliness of the sewing facilities that bring Koryphae to life. Our partners create environments where makers feel respected, safe, and empowered. We seek out organizations that champion women’s empowerment and allow for flexible, family-friendly working arrangements that honor craft and culture.
3. Environmental Integrity
Our materials are chosen with the Earth in mind. We use only plant-based, biodegradable textiles—primarily hand-loomed linen and cotton—along with natural dyes and traditional low-impact production methods that require little to no electricity. Each Koryphae piece is designed to return gently to the earth after a long, beautiful life.
4. Transparency & Trust
While we haven’t yet visited every partner in person, we work closely with organizations vetted by trusted sustainability platforms such as Common Objective. Our linen is sourced and loomed in artisan family communities outside Kolkata and New Delhi, then sewn in micro-batches by expert hands. We continue to deepen our relationships and increase transparency across our supply chain as we grow.
5. Cultural Respect & Lineage Preservation
We honor the lineage of every thread. Our designs reflect a minimalist aesthetic to allow the materials—and the hands that shaped them—to shine. We never appropriate sacred or traditional motifs, and we prioritize working with partners who invest in keeping their community’s heritage skills alive.
6. Animal-Free Commitment
Koryphae is committed to using only plant-based materials at this time. While we may explore ethical wool in the future, we currently offer a fully animal-free collection.
7. Continuous Evolution
We believe in doing better, not just doing good. While we use plastic-free packaging for customer delivery, we’re actively replacing our remaining overseas poly bags with compostable glassine alternatives. All current plastics are recycled through local programs like Ridwell. We view sustainability as an evolving practice—and we are committed to refining our impact with every decision.
Koryphae isn’t just a brand. It’s a living value system.
Thank you for walking this path of conscious beauty with us.
